Our review policy

How we handle reviews, in writing.

Reviews only help you if they're honest. These are the rules we hold ourselves to, and they go a step beyond what Google and the Federal Trade Commission already require of every business.

The same rule covers your name and logo: we never show a client's name, logo or words on this site, in a proposal or on social media without written permission for that use. Photos and names policy.

  • We ask every clientAfter a first month of recurring service, and after a one-time job or a construction phase. Happy or not, everyone gets the same request with the same link.
  • We never pay for reviewsNo credits, gifts, contest entries or any other reward in exchange for a review, ever.
  • We never filter, edit or scriptWe don't send only happy clients to Google, we don't hide critical reviews, and we don't ask you to use particular words.
  • Real names only with consentA review shown on this site carries the name the client agreed to: a first name and last initial, a business name, or neither.
  • We ask the person who hired usThe manager, administrator, owner or builder. Never your patients, members, tenants, residents, congregants or customers.
  • We reply to reviewsThe good ones and the hard ones. If something went wrong, we'd rather fix it than argue about it.
  • No insider reviewsNo reviews from our team, our families or our friends.
